Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 6, 2026
FroggyFunds (“FroggyFunds,” “we,” “us”) is made by Hilbren Technologies LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the FroggyFunds app and website, how we use it, and the choices available to you. FroggyFunds is a family app: it is set up and controlled by a parent or guardian (the “Parent”), and children use it under that Parent’s account.
A note on children’s privacy
FroggyFunds is designed to be used by children under the supervision of a Parent, and we built it to limit what we collect directly from children. A child does not create their own account, sign in with an email address, or set a password. A child’s device is connected to the family only after a Parent generates a one-time pairing code inside their own account, and the Parent can disconnect a child’s device or issue a new code at any time. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information beyond what is described here, contact us at [email protected] and we will address it.
Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Parent account information: When a Parent creates an account, we collect an email address and a password (stored in encrypted/hashed form by our authentication provider, not as plain text).
- Family and child profile information: Information the Parent enters to set up the family, such as a child’s first name and a chosen avatar. We do not ask for a child’s date of birth, address, email, phone number, or photo.
- In-app activity: Play-money balances, chores, allowances, goals, and the transaction history the Parent or child creates while using the app. FroggyFunds uses play money for learning purposes only — the app does not connect to real bank accounts, cards, or payment methods, and no real money moves through the app.
- Device and technical information: Basic technical data needed to operate and secure the app and website, such as app version, device type, and error/crash logs.
- Child device connection: When a Parent connects a child’s own device using a pairing code, that device is signed in with an anonymous identifier (no email or password) that is tied only to that one child’s data.
- Notification information: If notifications are allowed, we store a device push token so we can send alerts such as a chore awaiting approval or a goal being reached. Push messages are delivered through Expo’s push notification service and Apple’s Push Notification service. A Parent can turn each type of notification on or off in Settings.
- Purchase information: If a Parent buys the one-time unlock, the app store they bought it from (the Apple App Store, Google Play, or the Amazon Appstore) processes the payment. We (and our purchase-management provider, RevenueCat) receive confirmation that the purchase was made and an anonymous app user identifier linked to the family. We do not receive or store payment card details or app store account details.
- Support requests: If you contact us through the Support form or by email, we collect the name, email address, and message you send so we can respond.
- Website visits: We use Cloudflare to host our website and Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how it is used, such as which pages are visited and which sites send people to us. Cloudflare handles your IP address to deliver the site. We see totals, not individual visitors, and this information is not connected to a FroggyFunds account. See Cookies and website technologies.
How we use information
- To provide and operate the core features of FroggyFunds (family setup, chores, allowances, goals, and activity tracking).
- To authenticate Parent accounts and keep family data secure.
- To send notifications a Parent has allowed, and to confirm and restore a Parent’s purchase.
- To respond to support requests and communicate with Parents about their account.
- To diagnose problems, fix bugs, and improve the app and website.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not use children’s information for behavioral advertising, and we do not sell personal information.
Who we share information with
We do not sell personal information to third parties. We share information only with:
- Service providers who host and operate the app on our behalf, under agreements that limit their use of the data to providing that service to us. These currently include: Supabase (database and authentication), Expo (push notification delivery), RevenueCat (purchase management), Apple (payments and push notifications), Google and Amazon (payments), Zoho (handling support requests), and Cloudflare (website hosting and analytics).
- Legal or safety reasons, if required to comply with the law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or others.
- A successor, if FroggyFunds or Hilbren Technologies LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to the commitments in this policy.
Cookies and website technologies
Our website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. We use a few basic technologies to run the site:
- Cloudflare Web Analytics: Cloudflare describes this service as cookie-free. It records information such as the page viewed, the referring site, and general browser and device details.
- Saved theme: If you use the light or dark mode button, your browser remembers your choice in its local storage. It stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can remove it by clearing your browser’s site data.
- Support form: The form on our Support page is provided by Zoho, and your browser loads it from Zoho’s servers. Zoho’s own privacy policy applies to how it runs the form.
Links to app stores and social media sites take you to services we don’t control. Their privacy policies apply once you visit them.
Data retention
We retain account and family data for as long as the Parent’s account is active. A Parent can delete their account and all associated family data at any time in the app under Settings → Delete Account, or by contacting us. We will delete or anonymize the data unless we’re required to keep it for a legitimate business or legal reason.
If no Parent has signed in to an account and no connected child device has been used for 12 consecutive months, we may delete the account and its family data, including children’s profiles and activity history. We will email the Parent at least 30 days before doing so; signing in or using a connected child device during that time keeps the account active. See our Terms & Conditions.
Parental rights and choices
A Parent can, at any time:
- Review and update the information in their family’s account.
- Disconnect a child’s device or reissue its pairing code.
- Request a copy of the personal information associated with their account.
- Delete their account and associated family data in the app (Settings → Delete Account), or request that we do so.
- Turn notifications on or off in Settings.
To exercise any of these choices, email [email protected].
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
International users
Our service providers may process and store information in countries other than the one you live in. Wherever your information is processed, we require that it be handled consistently with this Privacy Policy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify Parents through the app or by email.
